I should probably clarify what I meant originally. By not having something
like
/usr/bin that means such a system would not compliant with the "Filesystem
Hierarchy Standard" but that's not necessarily a bad thing, just an
observation.
It is not a standard that we follow anyway, where things get installed
is defined by the GNU Coding Standards and the Maintainer guidelines.
