I'd wondered if GtkGL as it stands was usable for anything.  It didn't
look like any GL drawing primitives were wrapped, only the widget
stuff.

If the module names are "(gnome foo)" then guile-gnome makes sense.

The only thing against "gnome" in the name is that not everyone is a
big fan of gnome and might be wanting to use only gtk, which such a
name doesn't suggest.

It's possible to use guile-gobject without gnome I take it?  That's
certainly an option I'd like to see, since all the gnome stuff is a
bit on the big side.

I wouldn't put the version number in there.  Plan to basically keep up
with whatever the current gnome+gtk is.  As long as there's no big
incompatible changes that shouldn't be burdensome.
