Quoting Mldonkey, on the files that go above 100%:

"This problem is an old bug which has not been solved yet. We will try
to fix it before 2.03."

I have right now a file that is at 126.8%, another one is at 84.5% but
according to the GUI, only about 50% has been downloaded (green) and the
rest is unavailable (red).

I've just done a verify chunks on them and the 126.8% file has gone to
56.5% and the other is gone to 67.2%.

After doing a verify chunks the first file starts downloading again, until
it passes 100% again.

I'm curious about this, someone said that it was a general problem in the
edonkey network due to fake chunks being uploaded. But it seems it could
(also) be a problem in mldonkey, which is the bug in mldonkey?
