Hi,

tested your patch on some 500 MB using Debian Sarge i386 in a PIII 900
machine. All tests were successful and I noticed a speed increase of
45-55%, well done!

However I am not able to compile mldonkey on Windows using MinGW:

F:\GNU\develop\mldonkey>make
/f/GNU/ocamlmgw/bin/ocamlc.opt -ccopt "-I /byterun -o
src/utils/lib/sha1v1.o" -ccopt " " -c src/utils/lib/sha1v1.c
src/utils/lib/sha1v1.c:72:24: endian.h: No such file or directory
src/utils/lib/sha1v1.c:74:28: byteswap.h: No such file or directory
src/utils/lib/sha1v1.c: In function `sha1v1_hash':
src/utils/lib/sha1v1.c:294: warning: suggest parentheses around
arithmetic in operand of |
src/utils/lib/sha1v1.c: In function `sha1v1_end':
src/utils/lib/sha1v1.c:309: warning: suggest parentheses around
arithmetic in operand of |
make: *** [src/utils/lib/sha1v1.o] Error 2

I donĀ“t have endian.h nor byteswap.h in MinGW:-(
