Hi,

Is genartware a software or the project of creating "several applications"? If it is a big project which would carry many differents subprojects, each subproject should have his proper project account on savannah. For example, the project DotGNU have several subprojects on savannah, as DotGNU Libraries, DotGNU forum system.
Can you clarify this point?

You haven't said anything about dependancies. About sound, images, the problematic point is the over-representation of proprietary standards and libraries. Can you state your position? Note that savannah host only projects that can be installed, used, without installing proprietary libraries or softwares. That means that your program can support proprietary extension but should work anyway well without it. You surely understand that we dont want to incitate people to install proprietary stuff.

Also, could you create a tarball with the code as it now exists
and make it available to a temporary URL?

So, please resubmit with all this clarifications,

Regards,

Zeljko Blace <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: lgpl
Other License:
Package: GenArtWare, toolset for prosuming generative art/media
System name: genartware
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Description:
GenArtWare is a project of producing several applications that are
supposed to (dis)play, author and transcode generative media content.
This primarly stands for music and sound (as a free alternative to
commercial Koan engine from SSEYO), but also for visual arts like
graphics, 3D and video.
With this software and standard that we hope to establish we would
liketo introduce new qualities to the media art (be it music, video,
graphics or interactive computer art). These are primarly variability
and generativity of media (meaning symplified being able to play the
material differently every time ... without actuall change of the
musical score or visual composition).
It does not exist yet but Multimedia Institute is working on it.
