Within the scope of Objective C, it would be permanent in the sense
that the lack of protocol restrictions on the objects in an
application header file would not yield warning messages or a
malfunction. But it is desirable to add the protocol information
(that will appear in swarm-1.2), because then compiler can check for
misuse of the conforming objects. If you want to use that snapshot, I
propose the unqualified object usage because you probably want to be
able to have compatibility with swarm-1.1 until then (which uses
static typing).
