Yes, I started with Qt a couple of years ago. Im a very bad programmer 
with OOP and new event driven architecture, Im still too old fashioned, so 
I cant notice a large difference between current callback system and Qt 
signal/slot one. Both make me wonder where the hell in my own program flow 
i am. So, I suggested the message system. Maybe too much alcohol (we are 
having carnivals here).
