How did you get to that conclusion from my email?

Now there are two similar products - one works everywhere and another works everywhere but on Windows. After a small fight the first one will always win, because people would not want to run two version control systems. If eventually SourceForge changes its revision control system from CVS - it will choose one system that satisfies most.

Yadda yadda yadda, free software is impossible, linux doesn't exist.

It's empirically false. That line stopped being funny back in the
1990s (when it became blatantly apparent that no matter how many
vendors you pay off, people will *not* shift from unix platforms).
