I'd say put LInux on there and forget about it, but that's not what you want to hear.

Win2000 and later change the way you control the environment and such. config.sys will just get erased if you put it in. Get an XP manual to see how, or just click on control panel, system, environemnt. That's where you put SWARMDIR and such.

Pietro Terna posted example bash config files. I think I refered to them in the SwarmFAQ and put examples in the memo directory of SwarmFAQ

Hello,

I have just buy a new computer and it has Windows XP
preinstalled...with out autoexec.bat or confygsys.com
to: SET SWARMHOME = So, I feel grateful if you can help me with this.
