have you been reading the latest threads? looks like you might be at
some advantage as far as giving GUtopIa a backend asap, but i must
encourage you to find a way to make it cross-platform. i fear if you do
not then it won't get critical mass usage. the focus for your api is of
course embedded apps. i imagine XLib would be impossible to get to run
on anything but a unix system? well, check out g2, it is the only open
source one i could find - it is also in earlyish developemnt (version
.40) but looks capable enough. the win32 is still under dev, and as yet
no Mac. but if it is suitable we'll encourage them ;-) and/or see what
else you can find.
