As the topic of linking statically versus dynamically has
come up: Would it be possible to add the flags

    --with-system-adns
    --with-system-sqlite

to the configure script? These should tell the build system
to use the respective system library, rather than the copy
shipped with monotone. So systems, which have any of these
libraries installed, would end up with smaller binaries and
shorter build times.
